Powers on but no display? Could be the GPU.
Fans spin, lights are on, but nothing shows on screen — this is a different fault to a machine that won't power on at all, and needs different diagnosis.

Google Review · Kepong BranchWhat's going on
A machine that boots normally — fans spinning, lights on, drives audible — but shows nothing on the monitor points to a display chain fault rather than a dead system. We test cables and ports first, since that's the cheapest and most common cause, then move through onboard graphics (where available), RAM seating, and finally a GPU swap test to isolate exactly which component is failing.
Common signs to look out for
- Fans spin normally but the monitor shows no signal
- Beep codes from the motherboard speaker on startup
- GPU fan spins but there's no video output
- Display works briefly then goes black
- Monitor shows “No Signal” despite the PC clearly running
What usually causes it
- A failed or dying graphics card
- The GPU not fully seated in its PCIe slot
- A faulty display cable or port
- RAM not seated properly, halting boot before display output
- A motherboard fault preventing video initialisation
How we diagnose this
Cable & port test
We swap cables and monitor ports first, since this is the cheapest and most common cause.
Onboard graphics test
Where available, we test onboard graphics to isolate whether the GPU itself is at fault.
RAM reseating
RAM is reseated and tested one stick at a time to rule out a seating issue halting boot.
GPU swap test
A known-good graphics card is swapped in to confirm whether the GPU is the actual fault.
