Laptop or computer repair cost is too subjective, it depends on a faulty part, its availability, the variables i.e. hard drive or RAM type and sizes, and the complexity of work. In general, the technician’s service charges range from RM70 –RM350+ plus the cost of the hardware.
The time requires for a PC or a laptop’s repair is again very subjective, it depends on how long it takes to diagnose a root cause, the parts availability or its ordering/delivery, complexity of repairs. In general, the time can be from the same day to a week.
There are 2 main factors that you can consider for getting your laptop or a PC for repair, (1) the age of the laptop, (2) repair cost vs. laptop value, i.e. a 10-year-old laptop is still worth repairing if it’s serving you and repair is around RM100, similarly, a 5 year or later is worth repairing if repairs don’t exceed RM500 because those laptops are still expensive and they can run for few more years.
There are several reasons for a vicious cycle of automatic repair, a bad windows update, a bad hard drive or corrupted system files or a faulty registry.
